Payment Options for Your Convenience
Financing and payment options play a big part in the decisions you make about the dental treatments you receive. But guarding your oral health is crucial, and we don’t ever want you to forego important treatment for you or your family because of financial constraints.
For your convenience, we accept cash, credit cards (MC, Visa, Discover, and Am Ex), debit cards, and checks.
We also have partnered with CareCredit, a credit card that can be used for dental care as well as other health and wellness expenses. Unlike regular credit cards, CareCredit offers interest-free financing when payments are extended for 6 or 12 months. No interest is charged when minimum monthly payments are made on time and the full amount is paid by the end of the agreed period. Please contact our Northborough dental office for more information about this financing option.
If you or your child needs orthodontic treatment, we offer a 5% discount for payment in full at the time of service. We will also be happy to break the cost into monthly installments with a 20% down payment.

A Great Experience is Our Goal
We want to make sure that we schedule pediatric dentistry appointments for your child when they are feeling fresh and relaxed because it is essential that he or she develops a positive attitude about dental visits. This makes the dental experience much easier for them and allows us to perform all the necessary treatments efficiently.
Experience has shown that younger children are much more receptive to treatment when we schedule their dental visits in the morning. Therefore, we ask that you make appointments early in the day for children under the age of five.

Infant Oral Health Care
Follow the AAPD Recommendations
A first dental visit by the age of one is recommended by both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and by the American Academy of Pediatrics. It is a great way to get your child on the right path of dental care and to establish a dental home.
Your Child's First Visit
This visit includes an oral exam of teeth and soft tissues, along with parent education to help your child get the best possible start. Dr. Jolanta Macdonald and her team will provide guidance on home care, nutrition habits, fluoride, and injury prevention. At this age, we do not expect your child to be fully cooperative. We will most likely have your child sit on your lap for a dental exam and a fluoride varnish.
Setting Your Child Up For a Lifetime of Dental Health
We want your child to see dental care as a positive experience right from the first visit. This improves their chances of enjoying a lifetime of healthy habits and the best possible oral health. Our team is highly experienced in providing children with the gentle care they need to feel safe and secure.
If it’s time for your child’s first visit or you just have questions about your child’s dental care, please contact our office.
At Children’s Dentistry of Northborough, we want your child to have a beautiful smile and a healthy one, which is why we monitor their dental development closely. We also follow recommendations put forward by the American Association of Orthodontists and generally begin evaluating children for orthodontics at the first sign of a potential issue—generally no later than age seven.
Orthodontic Evaluation in 01532
An orthodontic evaluation tells our Northborough, MA children’s dentists how your child’s teeth are coming in and if there are any potential issues. The evaluation includes examinations of the following:
- Bite issues
- Alignment problems
Often if we catch a minor issue early, we can prevent a bigger problem later. For example, if it appears that your child’s smile will be overcrowded, we may put in space retainers to make more room for permanent teeth to come in correctly later.
The earlier we evaluate your child, the better chance we have of helping your child avoid extractions, impactions, and speech development difficulties.

Invisalign in Northborough, MA
Invisalign clear braces are a great option for older teen and adults who want to correct mild to moderate smile issues. Invisalign also contributes to better oral health.
Invisalign is a series of aligners that are virtually invisible, making them ideal for older teens and adults. These aligners are changed approximately every two weeks until teeth come in line.
You can also remove the aligners when eating, drinking, brushing, or flossing, which means better oral hygiene compared with traditional metal braces.
One of our Northborough, MA pediatric dentists will evaluate your older teen to make sure Invisalign is the best option for their smile. During this exam, the dentist will explain what your child’s teeth will look like following Invisalign therapy. This is also a great time to explore your options, ask questions, and share any concerns.
Our dentists are committed to the health and appearance of every child’s teeth, which is why we offer Invisalign in Northborough, MA.

We Want Your Child to Be Comfortable
Visits to the dentist can be as challenging for you as for your child. At Children’s Dentistry of Northborough, we respect your concerns and are happy to allow one parent to be with their child during their visits with us.
Tips For A Great First Visit
We encourage you to help your child by using positive words and actions prior to their first visit. Don’t be too specific about what will happen during dental visits, because it’s easy for your child to get overwhelmed by too much information. When you bring them for their visit, we will introduce them gradually to the sights, sounds, and equipment we use.
Avoid speaking in negative terms about dental treatment. Kids pick up on things even when you think they’re not listening, so keep any negative feelings to yourself. Don’t make a big deal out of the visit, either. If they sense that you’re nervous or apprehensive, they’ll respond in the same way.
Our team is dedicated to helping our young patients achieve great oral health that will last a lifetime. We have the experience and training necessary to put your child at ease and help them see dental care as a positive thing.
Please contact our Northborough dental office if you have questions about your child’s oral health needs.
